Outreach ProgramsCommunity & Afterschool Onsite ProgramsOur arts programs are offered at various satellite locations throughout the community. We have afterschool classes onsite at public and private schools throughout the community. By bringing our arts programs to satellite locations we can better serve a broader spectrum of the community.
In-School ProgramsOur arts enrichment programs complement the standard school curriculum and enable students to work with professional artists skilled in each of the four disciplines. These successful outreach programs encourage parents, students, teachers and artists to work together towards a creative learning environment.

Students experience each of the arts through active participation in engaging and challenging activities, while teachers find new and creative ways to help kids meet benchmarks. Single day to extended period options are available for all grade levels. Most programs involve several classrooms within a school in one 30-45 minute class each week, for two to four weeks each of dance, theatre, music and visual art. Field Trips
Metro Dancers is offering a special field trip opportunity - a just for kids ballet performance of La Fille Mal Gardee (The Poorly Guarded Girl). Comedy and chaos occur due to a disagreement between a mother and daughter over who shall be the daughter's husband. In this Old World style ballet you will see a bit of the absurd: a gaggle of spinning chickens, a dancing maze of ribbons, and watch out for flying apples when the mother gets mad! Music, costumes, sets and the dancers' skill combine to make this a performance event you will not want to miss. Every group receives an activities packet, music CD and other curriculum support. This ballet is appropriate for all ages of students from Kindergarten on up.
